Swift has no shot. I’ve met her. She’s a nice person, but will get nothing done. She’s not a leader and will be eaten alive in that job.

Blanco is a democrat. She will admit it in private company. She’s admitted to me. She only switch from “momma’s” party to get elected.

Guillory is a slime ball lawyer, but as a mayor has actually gotten shite done which is odd for a Louisiana politician. Drainage has been cut and roads are getting fixed.

I’m taking a bite of the turd sandwich and voting for guillory. It’s going to be a Guillory Blanco runoff anyway

Drainage
The same drainage projects that are being investigated?

Mostly bullshite projects like roundabouts that funnel money to his associates and their construction forms. That's why Garber endorsed him. His family owns some of them.

I agree Coach and will be voting for Josh too.

You don't think Josh will take it in round 1?

Conrad Comeaux (retiring assessor) is backing the Blanco cabal. He's another Democrat with an R by his name.

Coach Chappy, I also met Swift and was impressed with her to the same degree as you. I appreciate her history of civic involvement, but she will be in over her head.
Your comments on the others are my thoughts exactly.

This is exactly what I was going to post.

I explicitly do not trust Josh Guillory any further than I could throw him. He seems to want to be a career politician, so he just started running for various offices until he found a race he could win. That’s the main reason I didn’t vote for him last go round.

But now, every time I look up in Lafayette, there is a ditch being widened, a detention pond being built, or a road being built/resurfaced.

Much to my surprise, he doesn’t seem to have focused on larger issues that don’t matter to the mayor of a smallish city, and instead decided to focus on making the trains run on time.

So I’m having a bite out of the same sandwich.
