This news makes me happy. How much will this one lose? 250M 350M? How long will Disney be able to eat the losses? They've slaughtered all of their cash cows and Snow White is due out early next year. Hilarious.
They botched Star Wars, which they're trying to fix; but a couple good TV shows don't make up for poisoning the well with that sequel trilogy, not yet.
Live-action remakes of classic animation can occasionally make a buck, but it's not a guaranteed winner.
As for the MCU, I think they did great with that... but it's outlasted it's welcome. It's over, and I just don't care anymore.
If there's nothing else in the pipeline, then they're in big trouble, overextended and about to see some serious collapse.

Or some old ones. Superheroes and comic book characters skew male in their audience interest. Trying to push predominantly female superheroes just misses the audience mark.

They wanted to break it. So they could sell a different one. That now doesn't sell.

I'm pretty done with the marvel universe as Disney has reimagined it lately. Super Homer Simpson the God of Thunder or Sorcerer Supreme doesn't have much appeal.
