He lost, but it wasn't by much. I think it was really only between him and Scalise, so if Scalise drops out and there is no one else running I would think he gets it be default.

You mean he would get the nomination by default? I don't know if that's true or not, but if so, I doubt Jim has a path to 217. He received less nominating votes than Scalise.
