For Everyone That Wants Bumpas as DC

I'm a TCU alumnus, an LSU grad student, and a life-long LSU fan. My family and I donate frequently and heavily to TAF, Forever LSU, TCU's Frog Club, and TCU's Clark Society.
As someone who has met Dick Bumpas, has friends who played on TCU's defense and one friend still playing on it, I can tell you that WE DO NOT WANT BUMPAS AT LSU. His role at TCU amounts to that of an assistant DC, as HC Gary Patterson is the de facto DC at TCU, with Bumpas simply having the title. Bumpas' primary role on the team is as the D-line coach, he doesn't run defensive practices, and GP is the person that sends the signals in on defense. The bulk of every practice is run in two halves with Patterson running the defensive half, and Mike Schultz (OC) running the offensive half. Short of LSU putting together 1.5-2.0 million per year to hire GP as our DC, we will not be getting the leader of the TCU defensive staff and the success it could bring.
PLEASE LET THIS RUMOR DIE.
edit: for punctuation
