There’s only one people here doing that, and they aren’t Christians, and they also aren’t Jewish. Take a stab at who’s the problem.

Some do. Do you think they're right to do so?

I don’t hold that against them, except when they use the double standard I described. Their rigidity prevents them from coming to the truth, in much the same way ours did prior to coming to belief, but I am in no means threatened by unbelief, or discourse, for it’s the only thing that keeps people either open minded, or on their toes and competent in defending what they do believe.

You're all the same to me.

I don’t think there’s a middle ground to be had here. Either you believe or you don’t. It’s pretty black and white, but in our world today, especially in academia, and much of the work world, we are told in no uncertain terms to basically take a back seat to people’s unbelief all the time, being force fed dogma that goes counter to our belief system, and lectured any time we share our faith as we are told that we are jamming it down people’s throats for sharing our faith, a very important part of actually practicing our faith no less.

The real problem is not in belief or unbelief today. The real problem is intolerance for any belief that people do not share, be it faith based, or political, or norms and values that do not meet the criteria of approval set by those who believe only THEIR belief is superior to all others, that of unbelief, a perverted belief, and ever changing values. Right now, that’s driven by everyone BUT people of faith in society. It’s driven by people who don’t like pronouns, who want to silence your speech because it doesn’t meet their criteria for approved speech, etc…. These people are everyone’s real enemy because they lack the tolerance for others, only want to live in their own echo chamber, and deep down, despise the basic foundations of freedom and liberty this country was founded upon.

Again, your belief or unbelief is not threatening. The only threat comes from the intolerant. I enjoy civil discourse on things super important like faith or politics that affect our very life on this planet, but I have no place for intolerant people who want to jamb their unbelief down my throat and rationalize it as good for society in doing so.
