Winner of game three wins the series

I've got the Twins. Gray has owned us dating back to his Oakland years. We didn't do shite against him this season (lulz he struck out 13 in his home start against us). And even if we don't strikeout endlessly, we hit a frick ton of ground balls between Altuve, Bregman, Abreu, Pena, Dubon and the ever honorable Martin Benjamin Maldonado, blessed may his name ever be. So we play right into Gray's game.

I’ve got a feeling if Javi starts with 2 scoreless innings, we win. Seems like all of our losses, even the shitty KC and Oakland series, we’d get behind by multiple runs in the first inning

More importantly- who’s due up next for starting Tuesday’s thread? I can run some numbers and see who had success this season, or we can go with Jwho and/or Shane who led us to the promised land last October

I say make it a joint Prom/Ryno OP thread start.

Get the hating started early, started strong, and make this next thread bearable even with the dooming loss coming.

I’m happy these twins fans have entered the threads, they seem like decent dudes.

But I’d buy chicken a case of bud light every opening day that Crane owns the team if he’d ban Dukke from the DAT for each of those seasons.

His constant bitching and complaining about Astros fans is really detracting from us Astros fans putting in some good effort of bitching and complaining.

The good news is Bregman has identified the problem. We've just got to execute better.

I feel a lot better now.

I believe my threads went 7-0 in the AL playoffs last year. Just throwing that out there.

The Astros have parted ways with assistant general manager Bill Firkus and farm director Sara Goodrum

Feels like Dana with a full off season is installing his own front office personnel. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

Def good IMO

Even if he ain’t the guy we’ll never know if he keeps being handcuffed. We know the alternative (Crane, Bagwell LLC) and it ain’t good

I’m not sure he won’t still be handcuffed. I just don’t trust Crane anymore. It’s natural to think he would learn from the idiocy that went down last winter, but the fact that he went that direction in the first place after an unprecedented run of success puts doubt in my mind going forward.

I ended up missing last night's game for some stupid shite, but guess looking at the box score, it was a good thing I did.

How bad was it?

It was the full 2023 Astros experience.

Framber pants shitting, horrific with RISP and stringing hits together, and Mold being a black hole with a dumbass manager not doing him any favors to have productive at bat.

Pretty damned bad. Framber was up in the zone almost immediately and you knew there was trouble. Then Lopez was lights out which is a big issue when we are playing with 8 hitters.

First page of the More Sports Board below, and this is above the fold:

Here is the first paragraph from that thread:

quote:

The first livery reveal is days away so let's get a new season kicked off. Last season was a lot of fun, better racing than before I think. A pretty close constructors championship for much of the season. I don't think F1 is ready to declare victory yet over the new aero changes but they seem to be a step in the right direction at least. A lot of driver (and team lead) changes this year. Not much in the way of technical changes. A few rookies are coming in. We'll probably miss Danny Ric but it's nice to see Hulk back. So anyway I'm looking forward to some racing!

Here is the date on that thread:

How about the moderators on this board, regardless of who they are, show some consistency in anchoring threads?
