Tell me why Brian Kelly isn't getting any credit?

We had the greatest offense ever produced in 2019.
Did you know JD is on the same pace? A little better tbh.
You know, that offense everyone said would never walk through those doors again. Kelly did it in two fricking years.
Kelly got JD to LSU.
The defense is a problem, sure. But give the man credit too if you're gonna sling blame around. Imagine how much shite we'd be in if we didn't have this offense.
Just saying.

There's a poster in a couple other threads saying Kelly should have told Daniels to kick rocks because LSU isn't going to win the title this year.

100% agree.
I honestly put most of the blame for the defenses short comings on the players.
It’s primarily the missed tackles that are killing us. And while the coaches HAVE to take some of the blame for that, most of that blame falls on the players.

I am a huge JD5 fan, but not sold on our Oline just yet.
Let's get past some quality defenses before comparing them to the 2019 team.
Remember, we have not played a decent defense since FSU & they held us to 24 points.

LSU is 2-2 against FBS teams so far this season.
Maybe they'll win out. But right now, there isn't a lot to be taking credit for.

I'm not part of the "fire Kelly" crowd, but this argument is stupid. So if we went 0-12 but had an elite offense along the way, you would be fine with that?

While this year leaves a lot to be desired the DBs Welch harris are going to be a billion times better now that they are getting time, weeks will be even better, perkins will hopefully improve and not sit out, the safeties will all be better now that they are actually getting some playing time

Because it takes all 3 phases of the game playing complimentary to each other to win consistently.
Our ST units last year was the worst i've ever seen at the college level, and we started off the season by dropping another punt.
Defense was struggling last year, and it's worse this year.
He can get his credit, but he gets credit for ALL of this.

We are about to play some really good Defenses so we are about to see how good this Offense really is.
