The refuge is huge. There will be lots of hunters. Go in early, get deep and plan to sit all day. If you get up and walk around, you will undoubtedly run across other hunters.

There are times at first light where I looked around where my climber was and saw three or four other orange vests.

There are big deer out there, but they are smart and will likely bed down on you all day.

I'd haul in a deer cart in case you need to haul one out.

Finally, tons of hunters from the bayou that have no idea how to act at campgrounds and in the woods.
