Why are so many using the “last years colorado team” narrative

they returned two starters and 10 total players
last years colorado team doesn’t exist
ETA: i fully expected colorado to do good this season. You can’t deny that prime knows what he’s doing. He’s taking full advantage of the portal era and absolutely using it to his advantage. I think they go bowling this year. These players love playing for him. He’s going to keep having success year after year.
But the whole “last years team” narrative is jjat false

It doesn't matter if Alabama loses 20 players to the NFL draft they are still gonna compare next year's team to this year's team. And that is without a coaching change.
