It was ridiculous all night. This is one snip taken from a 10 second search.

I can definitely blame the secondary for losing guys in coverage and I can also blame the DL for losing their rush lanes and allowing KJ to escape.

Two of the biggest plays of the night, on Arkansas' second drive the 3rd and 9 should have been a sack. Perkins got out of his rush lane and ran himself out of the play. If he goes inside since Swinson had the edge he would have either sacked KJ or forced KJ to get rid of the ball and we force a punt.

The other was the 3rd and 6 where KJ got outside and Zy blew the coverage when he saw KJ run instead of remaining on his man. If KJ stays on his man Perkins still forces the throw and Zy could have had a pick or pass breakup to force a punt.

Those two things are correctable and if done right for the next game could lead to a successful defensive game.

Well, we'll give up 80 to Bama if they allow holding and we don't fight through it.

I am not sure this year's version of BAMA can score 80 points in a month against SEC competition.

DL did not lose their rush lanes - almost none of KJs scrambles were outside of the pocket - he stepped up and then ran straight up the gut by the slimmest of margins

Holding is practically a part of football. The refs aren’t going to stop every play for it. Defenders are taught to break holds and shed blocks. At some point you just gotta work your skillset and make a play.

Photo appears to show Maason as only DL single teamed…

Agreed. We knew going into this season that the DB room was going to have problems. Now that Greg Brooks is out, we really have a lack of depth in experience. However, the DL has got to play better. That’s not negotiable. They can’t win on their own, but they cannot just surrender 5 yards right off the ball.

A good friend who played OL in college and a short stint in the NFL told me that if you analyzed the film after a game, you could find holding on almost every play.

Wouldn’t have mattered. They would have overcome the penalty just like they did all night. House would have lined up in soft zone, they would get 15 yards back on a draw, then the rest on whatever downs they had left.

How many times this year have we given up 2nd and 20 or longer? I can’t count

The roughing the passer on Perkins was just as bad. Horrible call.

LSU held on every play. Your tackles were ridiculous.

Said this while watching the game. Some were real obvious, and shocked it wasn’t called or even talked about in the booth during the broadcast.

Arky has to hold or they’ll get whipped. They don’t have the talent

That one arm out in front of the chest as the Defensive lineman passes AKA BAMA BLOCK has not been a hold since 2009. I don’t know why we don’t teach it. I’ve watched Bama play a bunch and it is NEVER called unless they drag the DL down or cause them to absolutely turn

And yet it took a last second field goal for LSU to win. Played on the road and they lose. Did Rocket play
