The play you are talking about is because he originally blew the coverage.

Wasn’t there a play last year when a guy broke free and looked like an easy TD but Burns ran him down from behind and they ended up not scoring or kicking a FG?

Yeah he was the reason the guy was running free in the first place. He missed the tackle in the hole.

Kelly is well aware of the issues in the secondary. So if someone is not getting playing time, then it’s pretty much guaranteed they aren’t good enough right now.

Coaches, even well-intentioned very good coaches, can have glaring blind spots.

John Chavis was a very accomplished DC who had Welter playing in front of Beckwith for much of '14. We're still scratching our heads over that one.

Obviously, our coaches are playing who they think are our best players. But that doesn't mean they are our best players.

Him and Sam have been absolutely garbage at tackling in the open feild. We have to have the worst tackling secondary in the sec. But thats what happens with your getting Marshall and South eastern transfers. Denver Harris has played pretty well. Its taken perfect throws to beat him in coverage.

he chased down Jase McClellan against Bama

He was supposed to be guarding him man to man on that play. I'm glad he chased him down. But Burns was the reason the guy was running free in the 1st place.

The idea that you know more about how kids practice and who’s actually ready from a physical and mental standpoint than the coaches is laughable.

You really think the coaches aren’t putting the best players out there.

Doesn't always seem that way...
*Kyren Lacy is not our 3rd best WR. *Jefferson is playing better than Smith.
*Harris should've started the FSU game over Chestnut.

Yates had some impressive moments vs. Miss. St. the previous week, so I was hoping to see more of him vs. Arkansas.

So from this point onward, you will never utter one syllable of criticism about who's on the field and who's on the sideline - ever - because in your own words the coaches "know more about how kids practice and who’s actually ready from a physical and mental standpoint" than any non-coach possibly could.

They've attained infallible status in your world.

This is just a straight up lie.

It also doesn’t make sense. A guy good enough to leave after three years isn’t going not leave because they didn’t play as a freshman. You are also opening yourself up to that person transferring.

2022 TD Major Burns Thread after Alabama TD saving tackle.

That play was the origin of this thread that demonstrates how different TD looks at him this year vs. Last year after that game.

I am in the number of he's playing terrible also but night and day / then and now still his blown coverage then as well, just made up for it.
