I think he thought it was man with bracket coverage on Nabers. Look at Taylor’s reaction to the pass, he saw McGlothern sitting there in cover 2 and was surprised with the throw.

I’m a big fan of Daniels but saying things like is just as bad as people using dropped balls by the WR’s to say he is a bad QB.

The interception was his fault. He got fooled by the disguise of the defense. It happens to every QB at times and it really isn’t something that needs to be dissected.

You are assuming that Daniels could throw a deep ball in front of Nabors and not underthrow him. Your scenario is flawed in this aspect.

Daniels nay sayers were wrong that Daniels just stared down a receiver.

I don’t know how you stare down a receiver much more than JD does here. I mean he received the snap and immediately looks right at Taylor and waits for him to make the break and be open. Tip of the hat to McGlothern for making a great play. You can see him looking right at JD and when he notices JD locked on Taylor he makes a break on the ball.

The fact Taylor ran that route every game last year didn’t help either. Good film study and that is an easy route to jump.
didn’t we score off tgst same coverage right before half.

The play was shown on replay from every angle and Taylor froze when he saw Mcglothern had left Diggs. Iinstead of coming back to the ball and fighting for possession he just watched McGlothern catch it. It was clear he thought he had beaten the linebacker and did not expect McGlothern to cut the route. .

Agree completely. Great read and play by him because if JD happens to throw over him and to Diggs, it’s a huge gain.
