still getting a hospital bill.

I remember when my first was born over 21 years ago. They had to do a c-section so we were at the hospital an extra day or maybe two, can’t recall exactly. When they discharged my wife and son, I stopped by the business office in the lobby and dropped off my co-pay for the stay. It was exactly $100.

Those were the days.

At that point I was informed that getting to the truck, ergo the hospital, was not going to happen.

What a jerk. Everyone knows that hitting a drive-thru for breakfast on the way to the hospital with your wife in the backseat screaming at you is the best part of having a baby.

I successfully delivered my son on the front porch this morning. Neither of us are medical professionals.

Congrats on keeping placenta out of the house.

But seriously, congrats! What a story you have to tell.

I give my wife hell all the time for her inability to time her bathroom visits. It's like when I park the car in the driveway, she has to race inside. I'd like to think there'd be more warning if you were about to drop a baby instead of a deuce.

Reminds me of that Monty Python scene from the Life of Brian where the Catholic wife just drops a fetus on the ground and casually asks one of her kids to pick it up.

I worry my wife would have had to call an ambulance. For me when I passed out on the porch.

You are the man.
