Kraken blew a 2 goal lead in the 3rd with 16 seconds left in the game. The Knights win it in overtime 5-4. Total nutpunch game for the Kraken.

Now that the Kraken’s playoff hopes have pretty much been given the death blow, I’ll give a quick post-mortem on their season: their talent level is below average in a conference loaded with high-power teams. Last season was a fluke. I love that team, but until the roster turns over a good bit, there will be more seasons like this one than last year.

I joined the VGK - Kraken game just as the third period started. I was thinking that the Knights had given another one away when Marchy struck late. Kudos to Alex Pietranglo for a massive play in the OT. He got a late stick in to deflect a golden opportunity on Seattle's last rush, then fired a perfect lob pass to spring Eichel for the winner.

I agree with what you said about their roster.

They were a great story but overachieved

Anyone that followed last year's Avalanche team with an honest eye could tell they were ripe for a first round upset and the Kraken were a well-assembled team to take advantage of their weaknesses.

Kraken did a great job pushing Dallas to seven games.
