Louisiana has the most NFL and NBA players per capita in the USA.

Correlation to Louisiana having the second highest % of African American population. (33%)
Louisiana comes in at 6th in MLB players per capita in the US as well (4.5 Players per 100k). Florida leads the way with 6.1 per 100k.
Sports Culture is a massive pull for young men in the deep south.
