That's the thing. Many like to come on here and make such definite proclamations. When they don't pan out the bravado, curiously, isn't there any more. But when they do those same people will be the first to come out and pat themselves on the back as great "super fans" who never doubted LSU for a second...while also ridiculing those who did.

So if you are so certain, put some skin in the game against those who may disagree with you.

People who are miserable and only point out the bad do the exact same thing and slink away when good stuff happens, or they nitpick to try and point out something that might happen in the future.

It's fun to root for something you love, not everything has to be deep and you have to be right about, oh this position group sucks told everyone. That's got to get exhausting after a while. Sometimes it rocks to just sit back and watch and have something to root for for three hours.

MSU talent gap is vast. They had 5 turnovers against Arizona and squeaked by with a victory in OT. LSU’s coming out party happens Saturday morning.

I also think LSU wins, but this type of reasoning seems to never work out.

Can anyone guarantee during that stretch LSU won’t quit at halftime?

Defense needs to show something different. I wouldn’t be shocked if MSU throws for 350 on our soft zone.

I would take 7-1 after what we looked like in Game 1. Improvements might've been made but we'll see starting this Saturday if they actually improved

I don't disagree. But I also don't come out an make definitive statements like "we will be 7-1 going into Tuscaloosa" or the negative side of that such as "this team won't win more than 2 SEC games". They've played two games...as has just about everyone else...I don't know what will happen.

Point being, either don't make definitive predictions or, if you do, put something on the line to back them up.

Isn't the best part about being a fan is making outrageous claims and hope they come true? That's bullshite that you have to put something on the line for supporting your team and hoping they exceed expectations.

Nobody we will play can come close to our talent level

This is true, but there are teams on the schedule that are already in the right mindset and are playing well as a unit and will continue to get better.

There are going to be teams on our schedule that are going to be hard to beat. I won’t be surprised if Auburn can gel and be a tough opponent by the time we play them.

The main question I have for LSU is, will they continue to move toward the right mindset of FIGHTING tigers, and will they continue to gel together as a unit and play hard for one another.

I believe the answer is yes, and I believe we will be 7-1 going into Tuscaloosa. But it will take the intangible attributes, not just talent.

This is real easy…. If LSU plays like they did against FSU, it’s gonna be a long season… I see them losing at least one before Bama…..

We'd have to be a much better team than we've seen so far for that to happen.

If the defense actually starts playing defense then we go undefeated the rest of the way. The offense is going to score points but the defense has got to improve.

I have a much better chance of being called to Italy to relieve "Pope Francis" of his dayly's. At least much better odds
