I would normally say that about my wife, but she did 3 weeks in Italy and France with a carry on. I was impressed. Now when we go somewhere in the future, I'm not going to play alone with that. She proved to me she could do it without every luggage known to us.

She was fully prepared to go with just a (massive) carry on for this trip but I told her she could check a bag if she wanted since we were going for a wedding and vacation with multiple climates. Our first trip together she did 9 days in Germany and Austria in December with just a carry on so I know it's possible.
She did start saying this trip "I'll just buy whatever I need while I'm there"
