re: 2 QB system...why can’t we go to this?

Jayden made that exact play like 3 or 4 times already that game. It was a comeback route designed to get a first down. Neighbors can literally be seen locking his feet to stop and pivot back for the comeback, then he slid on the turf to his butt. The DB predicted that the route was going to be a comeback at the sticks and turned around. Had neighbors not slipped it was either a first down or PBU because the DB jumped the route.

You are selling it short, unless UF had 89 short yardage situations in 2006 (number of rushes that tebow recorded on the year). That does not take into account any hand-offs to others either when tebow was in the game. tebow was in the games for more than just short yardage situations and handled some drives from start to conclusion. A 50/50 situation it was not, but it was a two quarterback system.

To think a two QB system would yield equal playing time is flawed based on many varying factors: the number of plays in possessions would vary and yardage would also vary due to where each drive began, hot hand, injury, etc.
