Politicians come and go but what helped us through the Oil Shocks of the 70's were the folks who were full time making strategy that surpassed any single POTUS, SCOTUS, or member of Congress. These were rank and file people who knew long term strategic thinking was the best course for growing and cementing the US power on the world stage.

The unelected bureaucracy is not what got us world power and it’s that course that has brought us to our knees.

Need a POTUS to clear out the bureaucrats and replace them with either elected employees or just a private industry type government employment. I don’t care if the rank and file get purged every 4/8 years, actually sounds good!

Possibly the worst suggestion ever.

Government (at all levels) is composed of 3 basic parts

A) long term non political folks who do 90% of the actual work but make up probably 1/3 of the employee pool

B) Inefficient folks who are the the full embodiment of the Peter Principle. This is probably 1/3 of the pool and are good at something but get promoted and lack the needed skills in the new job

C) Political folks (all parties) who get the job through political "gene pool" ties and keep them for the same reason. This 1/3 of the pool should be put out to pasture (or clean trash and such) as they hinder much more than they help.

elected employees

That 1/3 of the most inefficient employees would go to 100%
