Ok
Great coaches do not have those sort of “total failures” happen on their watches, period end of story, good night.

I seem to recall Saban losing to Clemson 44-16 in the natty

Wrong. Go look at Saban's history. It has happened to every coach.

You are correct ultimately. That is why the same coaches win year in and year out. Their attention to detail far surpasses that of the LSU coaching staff.
If one watches some of the bonehead plays by our Oline
it is easy to understand why attention to detail is just not there. Same with our RB's running head down into a hole rather than jump-cutting or spinning out of a hole running to daylight. I'm not sure our RB's have ever been taught to run to daylight...but just run into the hole designed regardless of what is happening in front of you. Hellaire was successful just of this reason, and he made our OLine look way better than it actually was. We need more of that ...and oh yeah, it would help if we had more than one running play. What a antiquated offense we run....good grief it's weak.
