It’s what great coaches do. It was such a bold decision with a QB who had been the starter for 2 years. Saban knew it had to be done. BK has yet to do it. If he wants to be as great as Saban, these are the decisions he needs to make

Big difference in first game of the year and the 15th game and playing in a national title.

Maybe BK doesn’t think that the backup quarterback is the answer?

Y'all got a Heisman winner as your backup?

ETA: Heisman runner-up*

Why can't people get this-
JD didn't play awful. He played just OK. The WR's let us down when we needed them the most on big 3rd downs. Play calling didn't help in the redzone either. Us losing had very little to do with JD and more to do with coach and defense.

Do you think LSU scores over 45 points with Nuss against FSU?

Did Tua win the Heisman?

When was that?

The offenses inability to score and sustain drives can have an indirect effect on the defense. Moral alone is down when the defense knows the offense is stagnant and can’t score.

in 2022 in his first season at LSU, Kelly went for 2 points to win The Big Game against the University of Alabama coached by Nick Saban.

If it’s a no brainer, Wouldn’t a great coach start the back up before they get behind?

The point is when you identify poor play, you make a change.

Saban had 2 NFL starting QBs. We have zero.

Potatoe Patahtoe. Tomato Tomahto.

LSU vs FSU was two Top 5 teams playing in Prime Time with everybody watching.

The loser has no more room for error for the rest of the season as far as making the playoff's goes.

It was a BIG game and BK didn't have the intestinal fortitude to even try putting in Nussmeier to spark the team.

That's Les Miles style Stubbonrness and what has everybody concerned at this point.......

Evidently the coach didn’t think Daniels played poorly.

I read it right here, this wasn’t really a big game.

If Nussmeier is no better than JD5, what should we expect next year. Does BK make some crazy promises like developing kids for the NFL even if that is at odds with team goals? Is he telling us that trying Nuss in a game that is still in the balance is of no use? What really is going on?

That is the wrong question, friend.

I hate to say it but it will have to get exponentially worse than it did on Sunday for Kelly to make a change at QB. JD is Kelly's guy and its just that simple.

I think Nuss is a better QB and should get the Nod going forward but it will not happen.

For the record I like JD and think that Kelly is forcing the issue with him and trying to make him something he is not. If he gonna start they need to play to his strengths.

#FreeNuss.
