I built a dock with trex 20 years ago on galvanized float dock. Still perfect to this day. Recently built a deck and used moisture shield. It is rated for direct contact. Looks good and doesn’t seem to get too hot. Supplier recommended it over trex and said they had better experience with it. I think it is made in Arkansas.
