For south Louisiana, typically in the first 2 weeks of February. You want to apply it and water it in before soil temperature hits 55 F, the germination temperature for crabgrass.

I really liked The Anderson's fertilizer I used a year ago so I just ordered their Barricade granular while it's still 10% off this weekend LINK

When exactly do you put pre-emergent down in the fall in south Louisiana? In the next 4-6 weeks?
