Imagine STILL knighting for O!
We found out what O was once he had to actually coach and hire his own coaches.

Oh, there were absolutely a lot of people here and across the LSU fanbase who wanted him to be the hire, and they were out in force after game 1 last year.

Maybe a few but Alot is utter bullshite. Alot of people did not want a first time head coach to take over one of the most prestigious programs in cfb.

No one was clamoring for him to be the head coach.

Were you on Mars during the last coaching search?

It is a simple fact we do not win the National championship without him.

defense was the weak link for several games in 2019 and almost got us beat against Bama. The defense is the only reason there’s any debate that 2019 LSU is the best team of all time.

Because all you pussies thought he was the next Saban.

This is so stupid of a response that I almost ignored it. That said, BK is a much better head coach than Aranda will ever be. Figure that one out if you can.

That’s all O knows as far as coaching goes. His headset was probably not connected to the coaching booth.

Truth! No BS!
O has been a HC and position Coach on more National Championship teams than BK.
He has been the HC of the best NCAA Champion in history.
Facts, so live with it.
Aranda has been a position Coach on a National Championship, head coached by Orgeron. He owes his fame to Orgeron.

Meh. That’s just differences in perception at this point, but there were a lot of people saying that from right after last year’s FSU game leading up to game 2. Probably more then than during the coaching search. People are drawn to the familiar and he had just come off a very impressive season.

Another aspect was that, toward the end of the coaching search, it felt to many here like we were missing on candidates because various rumors weren’t playing out. We all know now that wasn’t the case, but people get nervous when they see potential coaches who may be promising taken off the board.

Anyway, when it became clear that Woody wasn’t interested in even talking to Aranda, a lot of people here got mad about it because of his ties here and the successful season he just had. I agree with you that he wasn’t very many people’s first choice, but a lot more thought he would be the best fallback guy because of the board’s perception that others were turning us down. This was obviously before Kelly suddenly entered the picture.

You are also giving way too much credit to tRant right here. There are two assholes in this thread still propping up O. This fanbase isn’t known for intelligence and good decision making.

Actually Ensminger was the real HC. I heard Aranda say Ensminger was one of the smartest coaches he knew.
