California has a law that prohibits state funded travel to states with anti gay laws. Wonder how that’s gonna work for Cal

Florida, Georgia, S Carolina, N Carolina are on the ban list

If the California university system regents prevent the move based on that, then Cal deserves to get left behind. And, really, of the three schools being added, Cal has the least to offer.

Pretty soon the ACC won't have any schools left in those states, except maybe Duke & Wake Forest. And the way North Carolina is trending, those laws probably won't be on the books long.

My guess is the money is taken from one of the athletic dept funds that are 100% funded by donations. Cal travels to Auburn next year, so the funds for that have to already be accounted for.
