They've also won five straight vs LSU.

Irrelevant. Last year’s game is relevant, but not the previous 4.

If you don't understand how 2 blocked kicks and 2 muffed punts deep in your own territory can cost you a game, I'm sorry you're so dumb. FSU didn't score off of the two muffed punts due to LSU's defense, but also FSU's incompetence. However, that's two lost offensive possessions. The blocked kicks definitely took points off the board. The thing that didn't happen last year was sacking the FSU quarterback. That's probably because Harold Perkins didn't play one snap on defense. I'm not overconfident, but I've watched that game replay several times over the past year. I think we were a much improved team later on in last season, and definitely this season. CBK didn't really know his personnel last year, and now everyone is returning and knows what to do.

I mean if you didn't watch the game, just say that. We played about as poorly as we could, and in the second half you saw what we were capable of.

It's stupid argument to say well if such and such happened then blah blah blah. All we can go off is what happened. LSU played like shite and still almost won the game. FSU won props to them. But acting like they dominated the game last year is silly. No one dominates and then wins by 1.

we snapped the ball over our QBs head on 2nd and Goal.

we had a FG blocked because of a busted assignment.

we muffed a punt with 3 minutes to go.

That's not taking off. That's being mentally unprepared.

Played terrible on STs: Muffed punts and blocked kicks, and still had a shot of tying it and sending the game to OT.

..and lost Smith in the 1Q. He's missing this game, but we have better depth here than last season.

..and Harold Perkins didn't have a chance to give Travis a warm welcome last season.

FSU won the turnover battle
FSU had almost 10 more minutes of possession
FSU won 3rd down efficiency
FSU won the passing and total yards battle
LSU wins rushing (139) over FSU (132) with help from QB

If FSU wins 31 - 16 I wouldn't necessarily say they dominated LSU, but FSU absolutely controlled the game for 90% of it.

We still did not have a full scholarship roster last year. Our special teams was run poorly and with below average talent. It's an insult to say these guys "took plays off" as opposed to saying they weren't good enough.

Seeing it as "they only lost by 1" is extremely narrowminded because the stats of the game reflect otherwise.

For one thing stats don’t always mean winning the game.
For two, the reality is that LSU was an XP away from taking the game into OT with all the momentum. That’s a fact JACK

Seems like you failed to point out some other glaringly obvious issues in that game like the fact nearly the entire roster was overturned. If you seriously think that had no impact on coming out to play sloppy like LSU did you are braindead with some major mental gymnastics there.

It took them quite awhile to figure out how to gel together. Hell, Perkins barely played in the game by himself which was a huge loss for LSU. Campbell went up against a 1st rounder and did a pretty good job all things considered in his first game ever.

WTF are FSU's excuses for losing to the likes of Wake Forest and NC State???

Still drunk on the LSU victory, I suppose.

And before you mention A&M, we straight got curb stomped. No two ways about it.

FSU was clearly the better team on that day and deserved to win. However last year’s game has no impact on how this year will go. We were a completely different team once we got a few games under our belt.

And what did they have to show for all that stat padding? A game that came down to the wire. It's more and more clear you didn't actually watch this game.

You've got some balls calling others narrowminded claiming FSU "dominated" the game

Lol I can’t believe you typed all that and your team won last year. Can’t imagine e what kind of nonsense you would vomit if y’all had lost. Ate up with it. Last year will have no bearing on this game. Could go either way but no one cares about the first game of last season.

Do you not understand how we lost two possessions out of this and FSU gained two possessions out of this? That's more time for FSU to do things on offense and less time for us. Even if they led to no points for FSU it's a big swing

FSU gained a grand total of 3 minutes for BOTH the ensuing drives after the muffs. 2:05 after the first muff, and :55 after the second muff. You make it sound like FSU chewed up 15 minutes.

And again, zero points.

To say the two muffs were the difference in the game is just blaming something that appears convenient, but it's not the reality of why LSU lost.

So in your super knowledgeable opinion, giving away two possessions in a game lost by 1 point was not a factor is losing the game?

I also see you mentioned zero about us having a 29 yard FG blocked and XPA blocked which come to find out is a huge difference in a 1 point game. Yes, FSU missed a FG too, but it was a long nearly 50 yarder, so not exactly the same.

On both LSU misses, FSU made great plays and BLOCKED them. These are plays that FSU special teams works on in the off season. Does this not count?

Meanwhile, on FSU's missed field goal, he simply missed it.

The analysis/excuses about last year's game and the predictions for this year's game are honestly laughable.

Did you even watch the game last year? LSU could have easily won that game.

Call Vegas because and let them know that the line is wrong. LSU is -2.5.
