Hate to say it. Time to stop passing these numbers or patches out.

Obviously nabers turned it down

I hope Will buries Verse next Sunday. Verse had his fun going up against a freshmen starting his first game last year. Will needs to break his spirit.

CBK playing 4d chess. Will Campbell can go out for routes without declaring

Just give them captains patches
Posted on 8/26/23 at 12:48 pm to lsufreak337
i disagree that it should be worn by someone exclusively from Louisiana, all these kids from all over have bought into our program our state and our community, they're all adopted Louisiananimals so that's a dumb rule imo but happy for Will

Lloyd Cushenberry wore the 18 patch in 2019.

This picture shows that the small #7 number on his left chest is how it will look. Lineman can not officially wear that number. He is also not the first to have a small #7 on it. Lloyd Cushenberry also had a small #7 on his jersey
Edit to say Cush wore the 18 patch and not the 7

I love Campbell as the selection…but For a program that has tried so hard for years to build a national brand, how does tying 7 to Louisiana roots make sense?

The whole gun thing might have been the reason

Especially when you consider the OG who started the tradition is from Florida.

Well deserved. Big time players and both are great character guys

I like Nabers a lot, but like these choices.I like Perkins a lot, too.
Don’t know why some thinks it’s just b/c Will is from La.
Will is a likely AA and contributed at a very high level from the very start of his career.
