If those are the 2 choices, its the latter.
I think highly of Russell and think he should have a special place somewhere in the facility about perseverance, handling adversity and never giving up. He's a true Tiger.

As someone who was lucky enough to attend many practices during his time, I can say there was a reason he never threw a pass in games.
They had plays for him that were practiced and they never went well, his arm was weak and inaccurate so everything had to go perfect on those trick plays for it to have any chance at success. It wasn’t worth it.
Shep actually took it really well, worked his arse off to learn the WR position and ended up being an asset to LSU and in the NFL.
His athletic style was a bit ahead of his time and wasn’t made for an old school offense like Les’ but he still made it work.
