Almost a ten yr NFL career and over 9.5 million in the NFL, and he couldn't help Les. He did it in spite of Les.

Wow!
I was as surprised as anyone that Shepard had the NFL career he had. Pleasantly surprised, of course, because Shepard seems like a genuinely good guy.

But let's be honest - Shep wasn't good at LSU. And as much as I dislike Les, he gave Shep plenty of chances.

Shep had stone hands here, went down at first contact, and had no wiggle (although he did have straight-line speed).

He was a good athlete, just not a good player here. I guess he was able to find his niche in the NFL.
