So, I think this is lazy thinking when it comes to these characters
There are certain posters here, who regularly show up in these threads to skyscream, who will never accept anyone but a strong, male lead in a show.
If you’re complaining about the female leads in this show that have been thoroughly fleshed out, supported in good SW content, then your agenda is obvious.

I'll be honest, besides the main staple of popular characters from EP 4-6, Ahsoka is one of my favorite characters. I certainly like her more than Leia. She might be the best female character in SW.

I finally watched Rebels (extended essential episodes list) so I could be up to speed to catch the first couple episodes of Ahsoka. I’m digging it and glad I watched Rebels before as this very much feels like Rebels S5.
I gotta say, the people that can’t get past Rebels and especially TCW being animated are seriously missing out on some of the best SW content in existence.
There’s no question imo, Ahsoka IS the best female in SW. More than that, she’s one of the most compelling characters of all due to her role and arc. I’d go so far as to say that save for an extremely select few (Yoda, Windu, Kenobi, Anakin, Luke) she’s probably the next greatest Jedi of the era. In some ways, she exemplifies what it means to be one and is even MORE Jedi following her exile than these 5 were during TCW.
Sabine and Hera are also well developed characters that are among the best females in SW. It’s amusing how Ahsoka views Sabine as this stubborn pupil. It’s like looking into a mirror of Ahsoka herself as a padawan, when Anakin thought the same of her.
For those unfamiliar and complaining about lack of strong males, Ezra and Thrawn are coming. The latter is one of the very best villains in the entire SW canon.
