The computer climate sims are taking a mixture of physics, estimates, guesses and a big dose of unknowns and using that to predict climate. It's a soft science at best and unreliable for certain.

I'll take the hard science of from the world's ice cores. Warm eras in history have been fecund with life. Ice ages bring death.
