Both states suck, just in different ways. California is a Communist wonderland that has been completely run into the ground because the productive members of society from which the system steals from have all left. Louisiana is dragged down by a good ole boy system that doesn't advance the state at all and the population has minimal work ethic or industry so it's just a slow decline ever since like the 1920s.
