Ok, I said a few minor cuss word like heck and darn and was able to get it to fill without turning off when I opened. When it went to the wash cycle it clicked a bunch and locked up. Had to unplug/plug to reset.

So I started googling and we may be comparing apples to oranges.

In the pic below from online, there’s nothing where I have it circled in yellow. Mine has a hole where a hook from the lid goes in and it physically locks there when it switches to wash. Do y’all have that?

Ok. Speed Queen must've updated to a more pinko commie version. Mine doesn't have a hook and switch up front. There's the rat hair in your tuna.

I'd still try to find a way to defeat the commie trap.

Mine doesn’t have a latch there either.

Are you sure you have a TC5 model?
