The original outlet that my septic aerator pump was hooked up to went bad after 5 years, so I replaced it with brand new "weather resistant" GFCI. That one went out after 4 months. Replaced it again and figured if it went bad again that quickly then there's probably something wrong with the aerator. This one has lasted over a year so far.

Those darn things aren't cheap.

It shouldnt be bad, but wouldnt be unheard of or rare. Id just change it since the breaker wasnt tripped.
