That was probably it. Don’t know how far they travel, but that’s what it looked like. It wasn’t quite all the way dark yet here though either

I saw the same here in Clinton, LA. It was spectacular. Bright white ball with trailing tail. Silent against a perfect blue evening sky.

For those that saw this how fast did it drop? I saw someone say it took a while? Meteors do not take a while to drop.

I saw it in Laplace. I was looking in the direction of Covington. It didn’t seem far away. Looked like someone was flying a drone over the lake

It took while - from what I saw like 5-10 seconds

That was a close one. If it had hit us we’d be like the dinosaurs.

Did anyone else see the meteor last night at 8:17pm? Was very bright white and green, travelling from West to East. Was travelling relatively slow across the whole sky. Mandeville, LA

There’s a bunch of space junk / old satellites being dropped this week. There’s some videos of a similar deal in Australia earlier this week floating around the Twitter. Moving slow and breaking apart strategically.

I've seen my fair share of falling stars and they typically fall fairly quickly. Would love to see video of this.
