So your stance is Trump hasn’t at all I guess.

My stance is that Trump did a shite job of draining the swamp...which is what he ran his campaign on. If anything, he strengthened it by giving swamp people a position of power(Pence, Wray, letting Fauci destroy the country late in 2020 when people knew it wasn't as bad).

Trump stated himself that he couldn't remove Fauci because the media would say bad things about him. I'm being dead serious.....that isn't me exaggerating.

Desantis also hasn’t truly taken the heat yet as the primary target of the opposition.

But Trump has and failed. He had to use EO's because he couldn't get anyone to work with him and they were ALL thrown out on day 1 of Biden. He couldn't codify anything meaningful and he will most likely have even less people willing to work with him now because of how many times he's thrown people under the bus. He will be a lame duck President(if he even gets that far).

And democrats will absolutely destroy republicans in the midterms(look at 2018 and 2022) and in 2028.

So he got "China" and "Trade" as accomplishments? How does that work?

That completely evaporated the day after he left office?

Yea, money is money. Every politician, including Trump, has taken donations from establishment types.

Desantis will probably be best equipped to oversee the machinations of any swamp in his admin. Not letting them just run roughshod in dark.

In a vacuum, Vivek fits my preferred profile. Successful in private industry, not a lawyer building wealth as a politician for their entire life. Founding fathers weren’t the best at government or law. Sure some were lawyers, but as a whole they came from many different walks of life. In an idyllic world, I would like for us to get back to something closer to that.

This world obviously isnt idyllic, so here we are.

My problem with Vivek is he was a staunch democrat until recently. I can't dismiss the possibility that he's still a Democrat trying to torpedo republicans.

My favorite is him just saying "military" without absolutely no other context.

No, that he's smarter than the RINO / WEF wing of the Party.

Yes, my point being in an idyllic world we dont have the undertones of the culture war.

It would just be someone capable of thinking through all the aspects of a problem, and coming to a solution that is best for the majority of Americans.

As it just isn't that simple (idyllic)… I run into the same concern you mentioned. Which leads me back to more lawyers. It is what it is.

on some things....yes.

But not on all. There is no "Agree to Disagree" when it comes to Trump bringing in the GOPe All-Star team to run his campaign or the fact that he was afraid of backlash by removing Fauci. Or that the majority of his accomplishments was reversed by Biden on Day 1 because Trump wasn't able to codify it.

You can agree to disagree on the why of those things....but they are factual.

Ron suspending the State Attorney is a great example of this.

It's like he's just saying random names of things that Trump says he's in favor of.

Believe me, if Trump isn't debating it's because he truly believes he has the nomination sewn up.....just as Biden knew he was going to win in 20. There's no other reason for a candidate to use this tactic.

About the same ... but the difference will be that Trump won;t hide for long as his ego will not be able to take what he hears on TV next week and he'll be around for the 2nd one in Sept. It is going to be ugly for Trump.

It’s a good question. From his point of view, I’d say there’s little to be gained from the debate.

All-Star team membership is probably up for some debate. I don’t doubt he is going to have establishment people just like every campaign will. That doesn’t make him lock-step establishment.

I don’t know why you are hung up on this. There are many valid reasons this is a stupid thing to get hung up on even if you are the President and you grow into the opinion he is doing his job very badly.

I mean if others are willing to burn the place down like the democrats we are stuck with it. It not going to change overnight. What has happened is the democrats have had to be extremely corrupt to undo things. In the past they just don’t get done at all.

Which members of Ron’s campaign also ran GWB’s campaign, Paul Ryan’s SuperPAC, or is Lindsey Graham?

If you don’t know what he did wrt military, you’re just being obtuse and I’m not going to change your mind or do your homework for you.
