Anyone surprised Derrick Henry turned out to be way better than Fournette in the NFL?

Henry has been 100% better than Fournette as a pro. I thought it was clear that Fournette was more talented when they were in college. It was unreal how good he was despite the lack of imagination of Les Miles and company. I guess it must have been the purple and gold glasses that made me think he was a cut above Henry.

Henry dominates the league every year now and Fournette can’t even find a team currently.

Henry seems to run on a whole different level mentally, looking back on it, it sure seemed like Fournette would of been the better one.

Yes he was..

But fournette has way more upside coming out of high school and college. As to why he was pick #4 in the draft and Henry was a second rounder

Fournette lets himself get fat.

Henry is a workout warrior. There is your answer.

Another night of shite posting. What’s your problem?

Henry was a heisman winner & national champion, so I’m not sure anyone was surprised he did well in the NFL

That’s not what’s being questioned here. Fournette was drafted much higher because he was expected to have more potential and a higher ceiling talent-wise than Derrick Henry.

Obviously, that has not proven to be true. Henry is much better in the NFL.

Fournette's running style crushed it in high school and his overall strength made him great in college. His hips look too stiff and he's always looking to truck the guy in front of him instead of finding the best route to gain yardage. That carried into the NFL. At some point those hits add up.

Two nights in a row you’ve started a shite thread, so no.

This one was a sad troll attempt at comparing a former Bama player against Fournette.

Fournette was the first running back selected in the 2017 draft ahead of McCaffrey, Kamara, Dalvin Cook, Joe Mixon. There a number of guys you could’ve gone with from his own draft class, but let’s pick the Bama guy to get everyone upset.

No. Both were freaks of nature in high school and college. Fournette got out of shape and lost his explosiveness that set him apart. He’s still had moments of greatness in the NFL but Henry is consistently great.

Fournette had ideal measurables so lots of hype from the start.

Something to be said actually watching a guy work — Henry is just shiftier and always had that sudden burst.

Taboo, but Henry as a back reminded me more of Guice than Fournette.

Do you enjoy being miserable and spreading it to others? This is a legitimate thread, and it was going just fine until you showed up. Just leave if you don’t like the thread.

Comparing Fournette to any other back would have been way more boring and less interesting. Fournette vs Henry makes for interesting conversation.

This is such a dumb take and a dumb thread. In a league where the position is dying, Fournette has run for just under 4500 yards (79 games) with 4 YPC and 34 TDs. Not to mention over 2200 receiving yards and another 7 TDs

Keep in mind he was a big part of a Super Bowl winning team in Tampa and was the workhorse on some shitty Jags teams. Henry is the better back but let’s not act like LF is/was overrated. He broke a ton of LSU rushing records, ran for almost 4,000 yards in 32 career games with 40+ TDs on mediocre LSU teams where everyone knew he was getting the ball on damn near every play. LSU fans can be negative about the dumbest shite but Fournette slander on this board is outrageous

Why is having a conversation discussing why Derrick Henry has been surprisingly better than Leonard Fournette in the NFL so offensive and slanderous?
