I just read about this happening up in Connecticut. Dude is suing for 2 million and the house being built on it demolished.

The buyers sent the money to a bank account in South Africa after the supposed owner lived in Johannesburg - if that doesn’t send up massive red flags for everyone involved, I’m not sure what would.
