Living off the grid can be easily done - live in a cardboard box.

I'm on the grid, but I'm out in BFE. From my house, I can't see a blade of grass or a building that doesn't belong to me.

I consider BFE to be where not only do you not have any ride sharing available but you can't even think about getting a pizza delivered. And frick a permit or inspection, if you want to build something then just fricking do it. It's wonderful. Walking outside to piss, smoking some stuff on the front porch, shooting a deer from one of your doorways, weapons all around the house strategically placed. I even built improved fighting positions, obstacles and some berms onmy property just for the frick of it.

I grew up in the Appalachian's. These types are everywhere and when they say "Living off the grid" they actually mean living off the government. Now they stretch it by growing food and doing without things, but don't believe them. 100% chance meth is involved too.
