...you're one of those guys who shoots buck heavy loads with the same form as bird aren't you
If you don't need to prepare for a followup shot, relax your back muscles and deltoid. If you are still holding the gun tightly to your shoulder, your body will eat the recoil rather than the front of your shoulder.

Easier said than done muchacho. Swinging on a bird or clay is very different in felt recoil from shooting that same gun and load off a bench trying to maintain a fine point of aim, which is what you’re forced to do seated in a tree. You basically said the same thing, but it’s all the more reason why if you’re gonna aim and shoot a shotgun like a rifle, there’s very little reason not to just take a rifle unless the state is forcing you.
