No Lundquist or Danielson for ARK game!

I dare say most of you will be disappointed. Neither of these announcers is nearly as familiar with LSU (or Arkansas) as the CBS crew. It'll be like the difference between the student who really knows history and the one who memorized dates and facts and is barely going to pass the test. You can only cram so much for something, and Lundquist and Danielson are way beyond having to cram when they cover LSU.

You'll probably like some things -- the absence of the things you're tired of from Lundquist and Danielson -- but this telecast will have its flaws too. Criqui's got a great voice and knows a tad about LSU after covering the Sugar Bowl, but in a short week he and Fouts will be playing catch-up and making noticeable mistakes.

No CBS broadcast of an LSU game is complete without the required "Herman Johnson, largest baby ever born in Louisiana" story/statement.

Now, we get to hear two brand new guys discover this fact all over again! I can't wait.

Why does everyone hate danielson so much? He played as a qb at every level of the game and enjoys seeing a talented qb on the field. Somehow that makes him a horrible analyst that hates LSU? Remember all the praise for JR and his ridiculously strong arm? I'm sure the non-LSU fans grew weary of hearing that week after week.

Stop with this shite. Gary is the best color analyst in college football. Seriously.

ETA: Blackledge is good, too. I also really like Jaworski (sp?) on MNF.

Don't blame the messenger just because you are in a sour mood from watching the ineptness of the Tigers. They are paid to tell what they see. You can't gloss up what Les and staff have put on the field this year. I have sympathy for the players who have to go out each week so unprepared.
