Edit: I heard wrong and most will have power by tonight.

I feel bad for those who are still without power in this heat and I can’t imagine being without power until Friday. The news said most people will have their power back on by 10pm tonight. I pray we don’t have any hurricanes this year.

What the hell would cause four days of power outage?

Eta: Entergy has made zero progress in 24 hours in Broadmoor/Sherwood

"Goodwood area" is a bit vague, but yeah, Broadmoor is still without power. fricking brutal.

The blue pill can get power to the good wood area, so I’ve heard.

WBRZ’s article reported that the Friday thing was for some businesses on S Choctaw.

Surely they will get a large neighborhood like that up before Friday.

Neighbors across the street lost power but I didn’t. Talked to the crew last night working a few streets over and they were packing up for the night. Said they were going to pick up where they left off in the morning

Aboot 1,400 houses in the Broadmoor area without power atm. Looks like area-wide is north is 2,000 houses around BR.

I’m sure the ones with generators are dancing and the others are gathering pitchforks.

You'd think a 3 trillion dollar infrastructure bill could help out with something like this.

Broadmoor here and my power was back on ~9 pm last night. Was planning to stay with a friend for the night when I checked my cameras and they were back on.

I live a block over from Broadmoor High school. The power was back on at 9:05 last night . I purposely stuck myself in the entergy crew. The last thing they did last night was to connect the breakers on the main line on Goodwood at Woodhaven St. next to the drainage ditch. At 10PM they went to the house. It was a 16 hour day for them.

There are still small parts of Broadmoor still with out power because of trees that blew over pulled down the power lines . Those trees will have to be cleared away before the crew can re string new power lines. We have huge oaks that the trunks were split in half from the strong winds. It is just as bad or worse than the damage from Gustav.
