You can’t possibly be this dumb. Here’s how the conversation went.

OP: Top 5 class incoming

Me: a top 5 class is virtually impossible. Even a literal perfect finish only gives us a class score that would’ve ranked in the 8-10 range last year.

Me (to some other guy): without Mack, I bet you they will finish outside the top 8

That’s just not accurate if the last 3 cycles are any indication.

Nope, you said they likely end up 12th and guaranteed they wouldn’t be top 8. I did the math and you were wrong. It’s okay to be wrong sometimes.
