Dont waste your time on Kres Steakhouse. Highly recommended but after eating there I asked the manager over. I complimented them on their service and ambiance and then said "you don't serve prime beef, do you?" He admitted that it was not due to price constraints.
The pricing was definitely "prime" prices without the same quality. If you want a great steak, and are willing to pay the price Christner's is far better IMO. Plus they have an ole fashioned piano which provides great music while you dine. Not as dark & fancy as Kres but a great meal!
Winter Park is a beautiful moss laden treed area with a great downtown and beautiful, little Rollins College situated on a lake(as is much of the Orlando metro area). Downtown WP includes outstanding sushi,Italian, seafood(not like our but still very good), as well as several great places to drink. Check out Blu on the Avenue, Boca, Pannullo's, the aformentioned Prato, The Porch,Ava (greek and a club downstairs), Firebirds Wood Fired Grill.
Also in Orlando -Santiago's Bodega, HillSide, Gringos Locos(3-4 locations small dive, late night spot), Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar(awesome food and hot spot for singles),plus A La Carte Street Food & Craft Beer(5 food truck around a little courtyard with a open air (most time it is opened up) pavillion that serves a rotating menu of domestic and international craft beer).

If anyone is starving for sushi when they come to Orlando, only place you want to go is Kabooki by universal. Not a place for kids, make sure to get reservations ahead of time.
