If you want a good brewery, go to Crooked Can. Has area for kids to run around, lots of food vendors inside their building, etc.
If you’re looking for good food, you want to go to the Mills District. Anything on N Mills Avenue will be good and at a decent price. Winter Park has great places too, they are just typically a little more expensive than it should be.
Don’t forget, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal starts 9/1. You don’t need to buy both a ticket to the parks and HHN if you want to do just the latter. Typically the earlier you go, the lighter the crowd.
ETA: And don’t forget about going to Rachel’s to get a beef Wellington and a lap dance.
