I haven’t been in awhile but the woods downtown was always a cool spot with great cocktails.
Yes the Mills area (just east of Downtown Orlando that starts at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Mills Avenue) has a lot of good restaurants, including a lot of the really good ethnic restaurants in the area.
