Let’s see, looks like we’ve always gotten DB’s.

CB Cordale Flott Alabama
CB Jay Ward Ga.
S Grant Delpit Texas
S JaCoby Stevens Tenn
CB Kary Vincent Jr. Texas
S Corey Thompson Texas
CB Jalen Mills (DeSoto, Texas)
DB Rashard Robinson Fla.
S John Battle Fla
CB Ed Paris Jr. Texas
S Jamal Adams Texas
CB Kevin Toliver II (Jacksonville, Fla
DB Eric Monroe Texas

LSU has always gotten DB’s from all over the surrounding states in the South. This trend will continue. This is just a small sample. Why wouldn’t this continue.

The 2023 class has 4 DB’s from outside La. Along with a number from La.
The 2024 class has 7 DB’s 5 from La. one each from Tenn and Fla.

The DBU days are over. We used to play a style of defense that relied heavily on man to man. That was a very attractive defense to play in for a corner, and wegot some of the best corner recruits from all over America, guys like Patrick Peterson and Eli Ricks.

We will still have quality DBs, but we are not the mecca we used to be.

You lost at this one, the guy never put in the work. He finished college without being drafted. Guys like him never would make a DBU. You need to study DBU. Go back years ago, look over the years. LSU has 70 players in the NFL, that didn’t happen overnight. Ricks Isn’t in the conversation!

The offenses have changed exponentially since 2 WRs out wide with a TE underneath- as the game has become a Passing game, 3 WRs and pass catching TEs, 5-6 receiver sets make it impossible to play man sometimes

I think the OP has a point that many refuse to give validity to. The CB position is thin and a wild card spot this year. To not question what DBU is currently doing to get where we’re at now would be ignorant. We’ve got to recruit better at the position. Transfers have been saving our arse.

The transfer portal is a part of the game now. High school recruiting is important, but there’s zero issue with the approach being taken right now. What is there to question? O and Raymond are the reason we are where we are.

I find it hilarious that if we signed Harris out of high school you’d be slobbing over a 5 star DB on the team, but because hes a transfer he suddenly doesn’t count. When LSU dominates this year, I don’t want to hear a word if positivity from fricks like you, Ipodking, Lsufanva or the other pessimistic fricks with miserable lives

It hasn’t happened, that’s the problem. They’ve whiffed on most of the alternatives, that’s why our top 3 corners are a converted nickelback, southeastern transfer, and a Syracuse transfer.

To be fair, Zy Alexander was ranked above almost every player at every position in the transfer portal.

It is disturbing, especially when you have the DBU rep and have been having to hammer the portal the last couple years to field starters.

Downvote the reality folks

Obviously the transfer portal cannot count because it's devastating to the retard's argument that LSU has no cornerbacks.
