I’d say Lake Charles and/or Lafayette are the only hopes left. All others are too forgone in crime, poverty, etc.

Plus the stereotypes with demographics seem to still be good enough to have promise. State politicians will eat on this tho.

Overall, the further you get away from the Mississippi River, the better life is. The further you get out of the state itself or best case scenario.

Ridiculous insurance spikes has turned South LC into a no go zone, and that was the only nice remaining area of that town. Plenty of opportunity for high earning in SWLA, but it's being washed away with ridiculous home insurance spikes. Moss Bluff and North has a more promising future.
