Funny you mention Dry Prong. Myself the wife and two kids just moved there. Population 450 in the least populated parish in the state bc of all of the Kisatchie National Forest that consumes most of the territory. We love it and all of the peace and quite. Deer and turkeys in the backyard. Birds chirping, no sirens. That said, it's not for everyone. If you need to constantly be out doing stuff you'll hate it. If you love the serenity and lack of crime then this spot may be for you.
