Man - I just don't think Speed Queen dryers are that much better. Just don't get a Samsung or LG, that's always been the advice I've gotten from people who know what they're talking about.
For dryers, just get a standard brand, the size you need, empty the lint every time, and make sure you have a really good vent to outside.

Well, I can attest to this. I'm highly fricking pissed off right now. My Speed Queen dryer had just fell out of warranty. A local repair guy said it was the timer. Well, you can't get the part! Unavailable everywhere since March. I call SQ and they give me a date that it will be available (usually about a month away). I've kept calling each month and they keep pushing back the date. 7/28 is the new date and I'm not holding my breath. Sosay they changed manufacturer of the part. So now I have a 5 year old "Speed Queen" dryer that doesn't work. I've called and complained, but unless you are under warranty, they don't give a shite.
$1000 dryer - 5 years old - stored in shed until part is available. I could scream.
